A YEAR OF YARD IMPROVEMENTS: WEEK 1. August 30, 2015. Ok, the truth is, our yard is awful. Not in that I-haven’t-mowed-the-lawn-in-a-week kind of way, or the It-would-never-be-featured-in-a-magazine kind of way, but in the Is-that-house-abandoned? So now here were are, with full time jobs, masters programs still requiring our focus and time, and a toddler who loves to play outside. Oh, and did I mention a yard that needs serious help? O. M. Garage! | The Joken Chronicles
https://gdjoken.wordpress.com/2014/01/13/o-m-garage
January 13, 2014. So our garage. Fast forward almost 6 years later, and you’ll see a few improvements (remember our hanging bins. So now all those projects that were labeled “someday” have all been moved to the “immediately” line. Completely disorganized, rickety shelves with spiders everywhere! Hopefully we’ll have e...

They love the adventure of sniffing and exploring locations hundreds of miles apart, separated by hours of cozy naps in the backseat of our car. These days they are quite familiar with the trip from southern Nevada to the Denver metro area (I-15 to I-70) and love every minute of it. St George, Utah:. JC Snow Dog Park (900 S 400 E). Baby Shower #2 | The Joken Chronicles
https://gdjoken.wordpress.com/2014/02/09/baby-shower-2
February 9, 2014. Our centerpieces were so simple, but we had so much fun with them! We started with glass bowls (originally from our wedding centerpieces 4 1/2 years ago) and filled them with water and blue food coloring. We found packs of small rubber ducks at a party store and stuck them in to “swim.” Sadly, the ducks were a bit top heavy, so they all floated on their side instead. Oh well! None of us were really into the idea of baby shower games (melted chocolate guessing games? Our lovely host also...

Nursery updates | The Joken Chronicles
https://gdjoken.wordpress.com/2014/03/07/nursery-updates
March 7, 2014. We’ve had a few fun and exciting updates in the nursery these past few weeks, helped along by some wonderful people in our life. Though we’ve had the crib for a while, we found these awesome elephant print sheets at Target. We’ve been loving the little bit of whimsy it adds to the room. A friend of ours volunteered to make a changing table for us (you can check out her blog here). We are so excited about the extra storage for diapers, bedding, and clothes! Since it is so thin and tall, we ...
