Shares my experiences, photos and thoughts when traveling the world. As said already, Cape Verde so far has not been a real favourite. Because of that I am really glad I joined a free tour arranged around the island by the ARC . I got to see beautiful scenery and a dramatic landscape of mountains, valleys and beaches. The wind dies out and we decide not to set sails at all but motor instead. Not a very fun start, but what can we do? Soon we are steaming through the water in speeds around 7-8 knots (max speed noted 13,7 knots) which is just about right to maintain saftey and comfort at the highest possible levels.
