My Family's Experience with Autism: June 2013
http://myfamilysexperiencewithautism.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
My Family's Experience with Autism. Friday, June 7, 2013. I know it's been AGES since I've written anything. It's not that things have been quiet.in fact they've been insanely busy. But once I take a little time off from writing, I've been finding it VERY difficult to get back into it. It's kind of been that way all year. But I do have to share an AMAZING thing that happened this week. It's about Ballerina. And when the performance started, she sat down with Dad to watch. She stayed there quietly for...

My Family's Experience with Autism: Experiment Is Over
http://myfamilysexperiencewithautism.blogspot.com/2013/09/experiment-is-over.html
My Family's Experience with Autism. Tuesday, September 10, 2013. All right . after I've been away from writing for a while, I'm really trying to get back into it all. And when I was writing yesterday's post, I realized something. It is TOTALLY unnatural for me to anonymize my children here. So, I am going to stop. Bye Bye "Ballerina" and "Music Man" (but I'm keeping "Big Brother" - he likes that title). Hello "Rachel" and "Simon". So, they're back folks! DRS Are The Best. My Beautiful Family; 10/7/2012.

And others are noticing it too! The second week started the same way! Just 2 weeks into the school year and look at the changes we're seeing! I can't wait to see what happens as the year progresses! My Family's Experience with Autism: April 2013
http://myfamilysexperiencewithautism.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html
My Family's Experience with Autism. Friday, April 5, 2013. I just want to share with you some of the things that I've been doing this month. Hopefully, I'll write a longer post in the next few days going into more detail of how I'm spending my Autism Awareness Month, but here's a short view. I want everyone to see that Autism isn't such a horrible thing.it just is. But it something that needs to be understood and accepted. Ignorance helps no one. DRS Are The Best. My Family's Experience with Autism: March 2013
http://myfamilysexperiencewithautism.blogspot.com/2013_03_01_archive.html
My Family's Experience with Autism. Thursday, March 21, 2013. My mind has been reeling for the last 24 hours or so.since the latest numbers have come out regarding the prevalence of Autism in this country. Now they are saying that one in FIFTY school-age children are on the spectrum. Let's look at this another way. In 1995, the rate was 1 in 500. In 2001, it had increased to 1 in 250. In 2004, it had risen again to 1 in 166. In 2007, there was yet ANOTHER increase to 1 in 150. I can honestly say that I d...

My Family's Experience with Autism: February 2013
http://myfamilysexperiencewithautism.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html
My Family's Experience with Autism. Wednesday, February 27, 2013. Answers.or More Questions. This needs to stop. There was a new (proposed) behavior plan. I realized my suspicions were right.his teacher by telling me all of the problems in the classroom, was hinting that we needed to get together. There's too much potential there to allow his anxieties to cause it to all go to waste. DRS Are The Best. Tuesday, February 19, 2013. Repost: It's The Little Things. Fortunately, no one was hurt. My Family's Experience with Autism. Saturday, January 17, 2015. Well, I haven't blogged (ANYWHERE) in ages. There's been plenty going on, but I just haven't brought myself to sit and write about it. I know this blog is to catalogue our Autism Journey, but there is much more in my life than autism. And, right now I'm trying to make my health a bigger focus. So, this post is about my personal journey. Feel free to ignore it.I promise not to be offended. And I can make this happen. DRS Are The Best. Update ...

My Family's Experience with Autism: October 2013
http://myfamilysexperiencewithautism.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html
My Family's Experience with Autism. Friday, October 11, 2013. But I know you aren't here to read about me rambling on about how I need to get organized. You want to read about my kids and how they are doing. Ever saw him exhibiting reading comprehension in any way other than describing the "Beginning, Middle and End" of a story. And the doctor, who was witnessing this, said she was "tickled pink" to see the progress he is currently making. It was probably Simon's best visit there to date. DRS Are The Best.
