Thursday, 27 August 2015. This week we started to learn about Rosh Hashannah. The children have been very interested in the holiday and all the customs around it. This week we experimented with sorting money for Tzedokah, we ate yummy apples dipped in honey and we heard the shofar. This week we also practiced a lot of fine motor exercises. The children have been cutting and tracing almost everyday this week. The exercises have been met with my enthusiasm and accomplishment! Have a great shabbos!

Friday, 1 August 2014. We continued this week learning about Tisha Ba'Av ( the day both Temples were destroyed and many other atrocities befell the Jewish People). The main reason got the destruction of the Temples was senseless hatred to one another and therefore we have been focussing on being extra kind, using our manners and helping our friends. We also decorated boys and girls and connected their hands together showing our love for each other. Good shabbos, We should hear only good news from Israel.

Friday, 7 August 2015. This week we started learning about space and planets. The children have been fascinated and intrigued by the idea of space and the huge planets that 'live' in the sky. Each day we discuss a different planet. We started the week with discussions on the Sun and Earth. This week also learnt about Mars, Saturn and Venus. We also made awesome magnets of the sun and earth with melted beads! This week we each made an edible Mars with Rice Krispies and red icing. Yummy!
