Dirt Clods- a childhood memory. To Barbara and Walter on their 50th Anniversary. Jenny edited together several anecdotes I'd written to use as my half of the Christmas letter. Here it is. We had a plumber come by recently and stop a leaking faucet and valve. He was sitting down and writing up the work order. He had asked me earlier if we wanted him to replace the faucet and stuff, I hesitated and then he said "Do you want to talk with your wife? It's pressing on motor stuff? He said looking startled.
