After a couple more hours on the train I arrived at Vitebskii station in St Petersburg. To orient myself a little in the city. When I return I'm told that they actually do not have a room for me and that they've booked me a room in the Retro Hostel and handed over 3600. Refund. I am not. The Retro was good value for money at only 500.
