DeeplyFelt Studios: Prayer Offering 2014
http://www.deeplyfelt.com/2014/07/prayer-offering-2014.html
Thursday, July 10, 2014. As you may know Marie Spaulding has restructured her Peace Felt intiative this year. New and improved the movement can now be found on Face Book! Sadly one of our members had to withdraw because her 12 year old daughter sustained life threatening injuries in an altercation with a car. The small banner I have made sends the wish for a Swift Recovery to little Meg in The Netherlands. With gratitude for all my blessings,. Helen אילנה = Hi. Posted by Helen ilana = Hi. http://www.deeplyfelt.com/2010/02/let-me-pointer-you-in-right-direction.html
Saturday, February 06, 2010. Let me Point(er) you in the right direction! I just logged onto your blog for the first time. Wow! What great information and photographs. Thanks for taking the time to record this stuff. I like it way better than looking at books. Anyway, about my question: Do you have something in your archives about making a shoe last? I see you used duck tape, but I can't picture how you get that off someone’s leg? I understand if this information is confidential. Sally loves all things.

DeeplyFelt Studios: SVTG Felts
http://www.deeplyfelt.com/2014/11/svtg-felts.html
Sunday, November 02, 2014. Yesterday I taught wet felted pictures to 9 enthusiastic women at the Slocan Valley Threads Guild. Here are two links to the Guild. The website. And the Facebook page. As usual I forgot all about my camera until we were all rushing to pack up and leave. But here are some shots that I did manage. I didn't get them all and none which really capture the sheer beauty of the work these ladies came up with. What an honour to be their mentor for the afternoon. Helen ilana = Hi. 2016 N...

DeeplyFelt Studios: Tree Deconstructed
http://www.deeplyfelt.com/2010/11/tree-deconstructed.html
Thursday, November 18, 2010. 8220;She is a tree of life.” . This phrase refers to the Torah. In Kabbalah – the esoteric branch of Judaism – a stylized tree. Is used to describe the path to The Creator – resembling in many ways the Chakras of the Yogic tradition. . Zryeem means seeds, the kernels of life but also of thought and spirituality. I sprinkled them liberally to allow the tree to grow from them. If I had a do-over I would have scattered tiny Hebrew letters because of the beli...November 19, 20...

Sunday, November 02, 2014. This post is really late. Apparently working full time eats into one' stone for other things, like blogging. Who knew? I received amazing needled images of two family members from Petra Melis in Greece. She used to photos from my personal blog of my jet black Pomeranian, Hiro, unsuccessfully trying to keep my Lynx Point Siamese. Kitten from stealing his doggy mat. Here's is her wonderful work. Look carefully! Two of those photos are the real McCoys! Posted by Helen ilana = Hi.

DeeplyFelt Studios: Disaster Averted
http://www.deeplyfelt.com/2010/01/disaster-averted.html
Wednesday, January 13, 2010. When was the last time you made an error of grey whale proportions? 160; Here’s mine! I read somewhere that steaming felt hats or slippers would create a ‘memory’ in the wool and so the form would hold better. Accordingly I rigged up a rack precariously balanced on two ramekins to keep my slippers above the water in my roasting pan - eerily prophetic that was. Then the phone rang……………. Fortunately my car needed servicing the next day. And the connection there would be? LJ - g...

DeeplyFelt Studios: Week two completed at last.
http://www.deeplyfelt.com/2014/04/week-two-completed-at-last.html
Tuesday, April 29, 2014. Week two completed at last. The week began with an exercise using slow felting wools to crate dime tigon underneath faster felting wool. I used the slow felters to make a snake, varying sizes of balls and a flat thick disk. Since the slow felter was white this also was a bit of an exercise in highlighting as well. Next up was bauble inclusions. Here we have silk cocoon halves, marbles and a beautiful lacquered Chinese bead. Here we have craters. I chose to try different shapes as...
