As a band pianist, he has enjoyed tenures with two of the U.S.’s finest traditional jazz bands, Bob Ringwald’s Great Pacific Jazz Band and the Jim Cullum Jazz Band. Turner may still be heard on the Jim Cullum Jazz Band’s weekly nationally syndicated radio program Riverwalk Jazz on the PRI Radio Network. Jim Turnour
Jim Turnour lives in Cairns with his wife Tiffany and Daughter Zoe. He represented the federal division of Leichhardt in the Australian Parliament between 2007 and 2010. Prior to being elected to Parliament, Jim built a career working with farmers and graziers for the Department of Primary Industries and as a consultant in Australia and overseas.
