Monday, March 31, 2014. The Way Hallie Tells It. Lately Hanna has become really enamored with birth stories. She wants me to tell the stories of how she and her sisters were born, what I was doing, what I was eating, all the details I can remember. Then she makes me tell them again and again, ad nauseam. I was nodding my head, impressed that Hallie was remembering the story so closely to the way I always told it, almost word for word. What she said next took me by surprise. Those were things that even I ...

Stop & Read the Roses: October 2014
http://amyheatherose.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Saturday, October 11, 2014. 1 Mile, 31 Miles. Today was the big day. The day we've all been waiting for, for months. Anticipation and anxiety for how the day would go were at fever pitch - the runners were feeling it, the spectators were feeling it. How were we even going to get everyone where they needed to be? I am so proud of my runners. I hope to run with them next year! Hanna will be doing the pumpkin run next year. I can't even believe how big they are all getting. Devin at mile six. I definitely c...

Gardner Family: May 2011
http://amrgardner.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html
The experiences and musings of Meredith, Tony and our two little girls. Monday, May 2, 2011. After church, we headed straight to Grandma and Grandpa Christensen's farm for another Easter egg hunt and a prime rib dinner. Ruth loved playing with her cousins. We stayed the night in the little house Jenny (Tony's sister) and her girls just moved into. They have put so much work into that house, and it will be a wonderful space for her family. This was only the beginning of the mess for Ruthie. A Day In The L...

The experiences and musings of Meredith, Tony and our two little girls. Thursday, March 24, 2011. Hello, all. Here is a long overdue update:. 1 Eva "Diva" (what I affectionately call her) is 5 months old! I think she is in the 80th percentile for her weight and 90th for her height. She has outgrown her 3-6 month clothes. She is my smiley, easygoing baby. 3 I am doing Weight Watchers online and have lost 4 lbs in the last week. Woot! 4 Tony is almost done with is undergrad degree! 8 We got a new cat. ...

Joy in the Journey: School Papers and a Bald Spot.
http://jsblomstedt.blogspot.com/2015/05/school-papers-and-bald-spot.html
Joy in the Journey. As we laugh, cry, and celebrate, we hope that you enjoy the ride with us. Tuesday, May 12, 2015. School Papers and a Bald Spot. The kids seem to have been bringing a few more things home from school. It is fun to think back at where they were at the start of the year and where they are now. This first one is something Jackson brought home. I think it was the whole "April shower's brings May flowers" theme. So if it gets bigger, does he have alopecia? May 13, 2015 at 7:50 AM. JKLMN ...

Joy in the Journey: The Big Apple
http://jsblomstedt.blogspot.com/2015/08/the-big-apple.html
Joy in the Journey. As we laugh, cry, and celebrate, we hope that you enjoy the ride with us. Sunday, August 9, 2015. The ballocity was basically an enclosed area with foam balls and various types of cannon/guns to shoot the balls with. There was also slides and some jungle gym type things. Britton got a little bored of the play area and decided the little motor cycle was pretty cool. The kids played a few of the arcade games and were able to each get a prize with the tickets they won. A Piece of History!

Gardner Family: November 2011
http://amrgardner.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
The experiences and musings of Meredith, Tony and our two little girls. Friday, November 4, 2011. I'm taking a break today and writing a blog post. Life has been busy with work and other things. I am doing a lot of freelance work right now and we have some deadlines this week (one tomorrow, yet) and so it's been a bit stressful. But if I don't blog now, I'm afraid I will get too far behind. Eva was a baby leopard. Her costume was Tony's when he was a baby. We were so glad two of our nieces, Marcie and Le...

With out getting into too many details that would be TMI, let's just say the labor was intense. I was actually having strong contractions all throughout last week.
