Sunday, March 29, 2009. We spent Friday and Saturday visiting with Jeff's family. We left for Southern Illinois on Friday after school. Saturday I threw a baby shower for Jeff's sister, Tracy. Saturday, August 29, 2009. Here are some pictures from playing outside last weekend that I never got time to post. Ben's 1st time in the swing. Ava wasn't so sure about this because she LOVES her swing. Might have to get another baby swing. She decided this was more fun than swinging (a little more work for dad though). Wednesday, July 22, 2009. We took the kids to the fair Tuesday night. We walked around and looked at the animals and the exhibits. Ava is pretty small for the rides and I didn't think she would like them much anyway. Of course we also had to eat some fair food. Both kids loaded into the stroller. Thursday, September 30, 2010. I can't believe my baby boy is 11 months old already! It makes me sad everyday thinking of how fast he is growing up. However, I get very excited knowing he is learning new things each and every day. He has mastered walking now and even standing up when he falls down. He used to have to crawl over to something to stand up but now he just pops right up! I might be a bit biased but Ethan is super smart these days. ;) He knows where his nose, ears and eyes are, plays.

Monday, November 1, 2010. How is my baby boy no longer a baby? This last year has gone by so fast but I have loved watching Ethan grown and learn. Monday, February 21, 2011. Fun in the Snow! We were finally able to get out and enjoy what was left of the 16 inches of snow we got before it all melted! We took Ethan sledding down our 'hill' that is our front yard. It was just the perfect size for him as he loved it! He would laugh and laugh the whole way down! By the time he reached the bottom he was asking (by sign language) for more more more! He didn't want to go inside but we finally just had to pick him up and go in! That was really fun!

Wednesday, May 27, 2009. I ordered hanging flower pots from Brylane Home for Ava's swing set. She was very excited to plant flowers. They turned out really cute. Hopefully, we keep them watered and alive. She really liked tearing the roots apart. We will see if some of the plants are strong enough to handle it. Thursday, December 10, 2009. We took the kids to the Santa Train in Oblong last Sunday. The train pulls up and Santa and a variety of different characters are on board. The characters greet all the kids while you wait in line to get on to see Santa. We waited about 45 minutes. It is really neat except it was very cold.
