Friday, November 25, 2011. Thanksgiving Break in Idaho. The kids made Tom the Turkey for Thanksgiving. He didn't last long and he was pretty much gobbled up right after he was created, but the kids loved him greatly while he existed. The boys and their Toms. Calder setting up for Thanksgiving:. Kaelan wondering why Ashlyn wants to wear the Christmas tree skirt:. She wanted to share with Ansel, and he got a kick out of it. She was justly pleased. Oh, so sweet! A trip to Wahooz. Friday, March 23, 2012. Having to manage the Cub Scout Pinewood Derby solo as a mom is akin to torture. I had to attend all of the car workshops, carving/ drawing and sanding and graphite-ing the wheels. Not to mention painting and adding weights. UGH! Here is one race, I think it was Ansel and he won this particular race:. A Very disappointed Ansel. He didn't win the entire thing and he was not happy about it. He did win and award for awesome pin striping. Not enough to help ease the pain of the loss.

Sunday, December 25, 2011. Christmas in 2011, our last in Oregon. Do I hear Santa? The stockings are hung by the chimney with care. And a little celebration! The train goes round and round and round, until it falls off the tracks. This is everyone's favorite room from this point on until New Years. There are no shortages of good behaviors and loving and hugging. Only a little naughty thrown in just to balance things out. The excitement cannot be contained. The children are nestled all snug in there beds.
