8230; blogging my HAWAII travel adventures. February 17, 2010. The island of Oahu has five botanical gardens. Ho’omaluhia is the largest with 400 acres of land to cover. It also has a 32 acre lake. Ho’omaluhia is located on the windward side of the island near Kaneohe. The botanical gardens of Hawaii are not really advertised to the tourist population.
