That is so gorgeous, you both are so fortunate, although I know you both work hard to play/rest in such luxurious places. Love that your stairs come right up into your room. Sunday, October 16, 2011. We left Hermanus yesterday and flew to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport. On South African Airways and then took another 20 minute private airline (light aircraft, seats a maximum of 9) on a 20 minute flight to Londolozi Game Reserve's. We are staying at the Granite Suites. The days here are quite busy and go something like this:. 5:00 am: Knock at door to wake you with coffee and pastries. 5:30 am game drive. 8am crepes and coffee out in the bush. 4pm tea and pastries.

Friday, October 7, 2011. Last Day at Bushmans Kloof. This place has totally exceeded all our expectations. Pictures do not do it justice. Last night we found it hard to leave our room after lounging for hours looking at this view. It has become rather hot very quickly (we were wearing jackets two days ago) and is supposed to be high 30's C by tomorrow so our plunge pool has been a lovely reprieve. Friday, October 14, 2011. Last Day at Birkenhead House in Hermanus. Today was one of the only days of this trip that we have absolutely nothing planned. I tried to talk Jess into doing a couple of wine estates, which he vetoed. We had a leisurely breakfast and then did the cliff hike into the town of Hermanus (about an hour and a bit). The homes along the way were stunning, complete with electrical razor wire fencing! Birkenhead House has been amazing. Here are some of the common areas of the hotel.
