A small glimpse of our life in b-town. Thursday, April 26, 2007. Jamie's got a gun. Last week, we were doing our conversation homework which consists of us going around our neighborhood and asking people different questions in Arabic. Jamie, feeling very confident that day, walked into a small store up the street to speak with the very nice woman who works there. A small glimpse of our life in b-town. Sunday, November 25, 2007. Her parents told Clint Miller that she began speaking shortly after our friends prayed for her. Amazing! We just finished a 3 day Thanksgiving getaway in the mountains and had an amazingly refreshing time. We went up there with our close friends that also live here in Beirut (Mindy, Marci, Blake, Anna and Jade). A small glimpse of our life in b-town. Sunday, February 11, 2007. First 2 1/2 weeks. We have been spending our time getting our phones set up, learning how to grocery shop, and finding our way around town via the taxi system. Our friends here have been so helpful and have really set us up well. They had it much harder when they first arrived and we feel incredibly loved and maybe a little spoiled by their generosity and hospitality. Posted by John and Jamie Snider.
