Am An Attendant Lord: What The...!?!
http://amanattendantlord.blogspot.com/2008/10/what.html
Am An Attendant Lord. Friday, October 3, 2008. More evidence that the planet we live on is Bizarro World:. On the real earth the overwhelming news would be that Sarah Palin rattled off memorized fake facts and was unable to muster even a single moment of spontaneity. She was unable to answer the questions presented to her and instead chose to speed through the script she memorized over the last five weeks. She looked like my Beagle/Rat Terrier mix, Molly, after she pees on the bed. In short, she was fake.

Am An Attendant Lord. Monday, March 17, 2008. Sometimes it is better to defer to those who actually know something. Http:/ www.chicagotribune.com/news/opinion/chi-oped0314obamamar14,0,2169730.story. Monday, March 10, 2008. The above is from the October 17, 2004 New York Times Magazine article, “Without a Doubt”. By Ron Suskind. Although it has been reprinted many times in books and websites and blogs over the last four years, it occurs to me that many of you who read this might never have seen it. A few ...

Am An Attendant Lord: On Celebration
http://amanattendantlord.blogspot.com/2011/05/on-celebration.html
Am An Attendant Lord. Tuesday, May 3, 2011. I had no idea that I was going to feel the way I felt when I learned that Osama Bin Laden was dead. In the two year-old previous posting I even described how I had dealt with my darkest feelings on the matter. These were the two competing thoughts in my mind as I stayed up watching the celebrations on Sunday night. I wished I could be there but I also wished we could come up with a more original expression than chanting "U.S.A! Eight when it happened? And in th...

Am An Attendant Lord. Friday, August 17, 2012. On Visiting The Lincoln Presidential Museum. (Presidents Weekend, 2006). Perhaps it’s because his birthday is only one day after mine. Perhaps it is because as I grew I recognized what an incredible wordsmith he was. Perhaps it is because one of the happiest memories of my life was doing a duet acting scene about him, written by Woody Allen, when I was in high school. I love Abraham Lincoln. There was still a good crowd. It just wasn’t overwhelming. I want t...

http://amanattendantlord.blogspot.com/2011/09/reflections-on-this-day.html
Am An Attendant Lord. Sunday, September 11, 2011. Reflections On This Day. The day will come when the boy will put two and two together and realize that his father and mother were there. That his mother was only two blocks away. The day will come when he will read the journals that both of us wrote in the days after. But not this morning. We watched the second half. In the end, Batman saves Harvey from himself for the present. As Harvey is being taken away, Batman expresses a hope that his friend wil...

Am An Attendant Lord: June 2008
http://amanattendantlord.blogspot.com/2008_06_01_archive.html
Am An Attendant Lord. Wednesday, June 18, 2008. A few months ago my friend, Steve, asked me if I had seen “Meet The Press” the day before. I responded that I limited myself to This Week. The reason being that I really didn’t have time to watch all three of the major network’s Sunday morning shows and since I didn’t care much for Tim Russert’s style, he didn’t make the cut. Within milliseconds of the end of that exchange I thought about what I had said. Did I really not like Tim Russert’s style? More trut...
