Because Tweets are just too short! So you’re treating today as a Bank Holiday? June 23, 2012. Britain usually has six Bank Holidays and two Public Holidays each year when the whole world comes to an end, schools and offices are closed and people who have to work are paid extra or are given an extra day off in lieu. In 2012 the Government announced that it would be adding an additional Bank Holiday to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and that this extra day would be TUESDAY. Me: That’s 6.95 please.
