Wednesday, August 24, 2011. One night in Atlanta. In the past 8 1/2 years, Justin and I have been away together without children for our honeymoon only, also, I have never been to a Braves game. Justin's parents and Mema helped with the girls, and Friday morning early, we were on our way to Atlanta! We started our time in Atlanta with a trip to Trader Joe's! Monday, October 31, 2011. Another round of sick for the Martin girls. This time, Catharine and Elizabeth have strep symptoms. If confirmed, this will be 6 cases of strep in our house in the past 4 months! We needed some new activities to fix our cabin fever. Do you see the sad circles under her eyes? She loved her slime :). Monday, August 20, 2012. First Day of School! I woke the girls up at 7 this morning. Madelyn was super excited, Catharine was.sleepy :). First they got dressed, then we ate breakfast, then a family devotion and prayer, then brushed teeth, packed backpacks, pictures, and off to school! Today we learned that God has power to heal! Tuesday, January 1, 2013. I can't believe it's been 10 years! Still my best friend, oh how I love this man! I'm so thankful for our Pastor, Pat Powell. He shared this during his sermon Sunday morning and it really just stirred my heart. This year has been difficult in so many ways, without question the hardest year of my life, but it is true that in my weakness, HE is strong. In my pain, He works mightily.
