Saturday, June 27, 2009. On a hot summer day, sometimes there's nothing better than a picnic! The Dallas Arboretum hosts Cool Thursdays every week from April through July. Each week people of all ages come to the Arboretum to enjoy music, a good view of White Rock Lake, and time with friends and family! This week we packed dinner to nibble on and listened to Reality Bites, a 70s, 80s, and 90s coverband! Menu: Santa Fe Roll-ups, celery and peanut butter, cheese and baguette, and chicken salad from Zoe's!

Book Review: POK POK The Drinking Food of Thailand. As an unashamed fan of everything Andy Ricker does, it is no surprise that I loved this book. I have already cooked from it, and learnt a thing or two about the drinking culture of Thailand. The book is well set out with amazing photos, and easy to cook from.
