Gerrit Goes South Africa. A voluntary year in Cape Town. Friday, October 23, 2009. It has again been a while. So first things first: just in case you've been desperately searching for new photos, even though I made them, they won't appear together with this post. We will come to the why later. Since I made my last entry I did actually see quite a few things, as those of you who keep up with Facebook as well will have read. And finally on Saturday the whole group climbed Table Mountain, and we did it!

Donnerstag, 6. August 2009. Draußen und so *. Da ich hier lange Zeit keinen Post mehr gemacht hab, wollt ich jetzt mal nachziehen. Waren gestern und heute aufm Übungsplatz u.a. zum scharfen Schießen. dabei haben wir dann noch nen schönen Marsch absolviert, der nicht nur trocken verlaufen ist, obwohl die Sonne geschienen hat und der Himmel wolkenfrei war. Dann haben wir noch selbst gekocht und manntiefe Stellungen gegraben. insgesamt wars anstrengend aber ne gute Erfahrung :). Draußen und so *.

Gerrit Goes South Africa. A voluntary year in Cape Town. Saturday, August 29, 2009. Two days ago I have arrived safly in Cape Town. The flights were alright. From Frankfurt to Dubai was packed, but from Dubai to Cape Twon I had two seats and as a result that was flight was much more comfortable. So I had trouble getting it all into the draws. The family does not have internet at home, so I am in an internetcafe right now. My first night in my new home was good. I managed to sleep unbeatable 14hours!
