28 March, 2010. Life as a non-intern. In other news, I have continued to be involved in activities at the Baptist church in Reutlingen and a couple of choirs in town. Most notably, last week I participated in the youth group's (high school age) Kollektivewoche. At the beginning of March I started giving drumset lessons to my worship team's leader. 03 July, 2012. Fasnet in Rottenburg am Neckar and Rottweil. Earlier this year I went to two very different Fasnet parades in nearby towns. Fasnet is the equivalent of Carnival in Southern Germany. It is celebrated the week before the beginning of Lent and, as I learned during my visits to Rottenburg am Neckar and Rottweil, it can be celebrated in very different ways. 29 January, 2010. This is just a short post to update all of you, my lovely readers, on my progress on finding an internship here in Reutlingen. Well, to put it shortly, I've done it. I received a draft of a contract from WAFIOS AG yesterday which I plan on signing on my first day of work this Monday. After the trade show in April I will rotate around the other departments for a few weeks and then finish in the Technical Office where they work on new designs. Written by Jonathan Larson.

16 December, 2011. I love being in Germany for the Christmas season. One of the highlights of this season is the proliferation of Christmas markets. Nearly every town has a market around the town-square. Sometimes they're only open for a week or one weekend, sometimes for the entire month of December until the day before Christmas Eve.
