At the moment, it is going to be authors that I return to, time and time again to provide me with some great stories. It may be crime or women’s fiction. It may be history. It may be none of these things. I am not sure what else to put on the page? I love hearing from you so please leave a reply. Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. 5 of 5 stars ...

LindyLouMac's Book Reviews: February 2015
http://lindyloumacbookreviews.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Thursday, February 26, 2015. A Week in Paris by Rachel Hore. Simon and Schuster 2014. She was a scrappy wisp of a girl who lived with forty-three other children in a large ugly house on the edge of a country town. The Paris of both ages is beautifully drawn and the women's stories are skilfully interwoven, resulting in a richly emotional story, suspenseful and romantic, but unflinching in its portrayal of the dreadful reality and legacy of war. - Deirdre O'Brien, Sunday Mirror. This novel disappointed me.

Friday, May 8, 2015. Where We Belong by Catherine Ryan Hyde. Black Swan Edition July 2014. By the time I was seven, I had twenty-two packs of playing cards. Full of grief and hardship, but still a compelling read. I recommend this novel to fans of contemporary fiction and feel that if you enjoy the style of writing of Jodi Picoult, then Catherine Ryan Hyde will probably also appeal. Jo’s Book Club. Tremarnock Summer – Emma Burstall. But could he simply just be an outsider being blamed for all the strange goings on? I was interested to see the outcome for Bramble, it was not what I thought, I had her going down a completely different path! I was a little bit frustra...

Tuesday, June 28, 2016. Jo's 7th Book Note. What do you enjoy at a library? During the summer many libraries have special events. Some are for a targeted audience. Others are for the whole family.
