Monday, June 30, 2014. Last weekend we ventured out for our annual strawberry picking outing. With the manic winter/spring here in Iowa, the berries were a little later than usual to ripen. And, apparently, it made the strawberry season unusually short as well. Little did we know. The berries were small, and few and far between.
