Beige Space: February 2009

http://beigespace.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html

Saturday, February 28, 2009. I got up early to eat something before sunrise and then go back to bed, and then I had a sudden revelation about what I might want my Div III to be. (Even when it hits me like this early in the morning, I'm afraid to commit to it.) So I'm writing it down so that I don't forget once I go back to sleep! And I'm writing it down publicly for feedback or dialogue or something! And those aren't things I knew 6 hours ago. Friday, February 27, 2009. I didn't post about them already?

Beige Space: On Happiness

http://beigespace.blogspot.com/2009/08/on-happiness.html

Wednesday, August 05, 2009. It's rare that I read or hear something and think immediately "I disagree completely with your entire premise." This column. However, did that to me, and reminded me of this talk at Hampshire a few months ago, when some guy was saying that we should all be secular humanists because it is impossible to understand God and no religion has given us a good way to get close to him. The talk at Hampshire (it was Dr. Philip Kitcher and you can watch it here. Things I Like On Internets.

Saturday, November 08, 2008. So you know how there was an Election this week? Yea it was awesome. Hampshire was really into it, of course, and here are some photos to prove this point! How it went down:. A whole lot of us got together because Bera said "hey guys we can order some Aircraft Carriers from Wings and it will be so awesome! And we all said "Yes Bera you are a genius! After a few hours of this, we split up into smaller, alcohol-consuming groups scattered through various mods. These are not Hall...

Is the portrait his God? What, exactly, is Dorian Gray's relationship to society? Does it even matter? Thanks for bearing with me. I have more visual things to post soon, maybe later this afternoon. Journaling Journeys: America

Friday, December 16, 2011. Through Texas, and to National Parks and Forests. We went through Texas and drove up to Austin, Texas, where we hung out and visited a Lomography store, a cool cafe owned by Sandra Bullock, and a great Mexican restaurant bar with a really good happy hour and a cool bartender. I discovered that I liked beers from the Texas brewery Shiner, particularly their Shiner Bock. I was a little shocked, and impressed. "Smart raccoon! I forgot to mention Lafayette, Louisiana, didn't I?

The Journaling June Bug

What's an art journal? Monday, August 3, 2015. What Homeschooling has Taught Me. I've been pondering much today. I feel that God is opening my mind, softening my heart and helping me overcome many obstacles. Believe me when I say I'm far from perfect, but I do recognize the tender mercies of the Lord have been constant in my life. Tis a gift to be simple, 'tis a gift to be free. Tis a gift to come down where we ought to be. And when we find ourselves in a place just right. Joseph Brackett, Jr. 1848).
