Saturday, March 26, 2011. Autumn shawl, wannabe. This was really suppose to be done for the start of autumn. Ahem! Not sure what happened there. However, since winter is still hanging around in these parts,. I have had many opportunities to enjoy this knit. Found the pattern and yarn on a trip to Victoria, BC last year. The pattern is Silk Alpaca Babushka. The yarn is Misti Alpaca Hand Paint Sock Yarn. A great yarn that wears really well. Comfy and cozy! Thursday, March 10, 2011. I found the pattern.

Sunday, June 10, 2012. The joys of puppies. While refinishing our deck today,. I marveled at the antics of our puppy. Realizing nothing is really off limits or beyond exploring. Since our deck needs quite an overhaul,. I have been pulling nails,. Adding screws and sanding. At various points those nails and screws were carried off to be examined and chewed,. Tuesday, August 30, 2011. Last week was Natalie's 15th birthday. We spent the day biking around Bowen Island, which is approximately a 15 minute ferry ride from Horseshoe Bay. We packed a lunch, rode around on some trails, up a killer hill which the locals actually call "Killer Hill". Headed to a quiet little beach and just took in the amazing scenery. Monday, September 5, 2011. Introducing my Stripe Study Shawl. A fabulous pattern by Veera Valimaki. I used Cascade Yarn in Heritage Solids, one skein in a gray and one in a plum colour, with size 4mm needles. I wasn't sure if I was a shawl wearing type of person.but this I know I will definitely wear! I even bought a shawl pin!
