Joyfully Broken: If I’m not Recovering, I’m Relapsing

http://journeyofjoyfullybroken.blogspot.com/2011/01/if-im-not-recovering-im-relapsing.html

Thursday, January 13, 2011. If I’m not Recovering, I’m Relapsing. Last month I had unexpected surgery and was home recovering for a few weeks. Lots of friends and family checked in on me and asked how I was doing. My response was almost always the same: “The doctor says I’m recovering wonderfully, but I’m not healing as fast as I want.” This was usually followed by a few chuckles, as people told me they completely understood. Am I moving backwards? Or am I moving forward? I find immense comfort in Paul&#...

Joyfully Broken: June 2010

http://journeyofjoyfullybroken.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html

Wednesday, June 30, 2010. In case I didn’t quite hear God correctly regarding sharing my story, He felt I needed to hear a specific message last night in our Recovery ministry titled, “YES.” Here is a short summary of the message:. Ield myself to God’s plan. God desires me to find victory so I can tell my story to others. I must deny myself and my pride so I can humbly present myself to Him and others. He reaches others through what He does in and through me. Xample is what’s important. Tell my story&#46...

Joyfully Broken: March 2011

http://journeyofjoyfullybroken.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html

Thursday, March 17, 2011. Experiencing a God Moment. I love how God works. I was immensely blessed to experience a “God moment” today and had to share it. The following is what he read. It’s taken from a book called. By Sarah Young (devotional taken from February 7). The entire book is written as a letter to me (the reader) from Jesus:. This sounds like an easy assignment, but it is not. Your desire to live in My Presence goes against the grain of ‘the world, the flesh, and the devil.&#8217...I’ve ...

Joyfully Broken: October 2010

http://journeyofjoyfullybroken.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html

Friday, October 29, 2010. Earlier this week I heard a mind-blowing message about intimacy. God desires great intimate fellowship with me. His desire is so strong, that He yearns to be to one with me. He uses earthly examples to explain this desire, such as the mystery of how a husband and a wife become “one flesh,” or how Christ is one with His bride, the Church. 8220;To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you. 8221; John 14:16-17.

Joyfully Broken: September 2010

http://journeyofjoyfullybroken.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html

Friday, September 24, 2010. To “let go” does not mean to stop caring; it means I can’t do it for someone else. To “let go” is not to cut myself off; it’s the realization that I can’t control another. To “let go” is not to enable, but to allow learning from natural consequences. To “let go” is to admit powerlessness, which means the outcome is not in my hands. To “let go” is not to try to change or blame another; it’s to make the most of myself. To “let go” is not to care for, but to care about. Taken fro...

A Journey of Joy

Wednesday, July 16, 2014. I've never doubted the power of the Lord. Never questioned His wisdom or His authority. Even as an unbeliever, I knew that God WAS; that He rightfully maintained absolute control over all His creation with infinite power. My questioning has always been about His love for me. My doubting and struggles continue even to this day: "Lord, I know You have overwhelming kindness and love for Your people. But am I one of Yours? And God has already met me so perfectly, answering me in my ...

Joyce's Journey

I like adventures. All adventures. They don't necessarily have to be my own, but this particular blog is intended to be a record of my personal stories and adventures as I travel on this journey of my training to become a Salvation Army officer. Saturday, June 8, 2013. Three months since my girl showed up on the scene. Josh asks me every second day when I am going to post a new blog, but I have been reluctant to try and tackle this first post since Zoe's arrival. I mean, HOW. Zoe; her name means 'life'.

Joyful Pursuits

Tuesday, August 14, 2012. Tuesday August 14, 2012. Despite the triple digits we've had all summer I've stayed busy. Mostly going to Oklahoma to visit my daughter. Mom and I are still dealing with the passing of my dad but times is helping us adjust. I have found that while fun I might watch my time with Pinterest. It sure is all consuming when you get started! To help with suggestions. I have stumbled across a site for cardmaking - Gina K Designs. I have to be very careful much money could be spent t...

You should allow me to go on my way and hope that we will remain as friends. I mean… after all that we have done and said, I don’t think I can remain friends with you. Friday, January 26, 2018. These two like to get into trouble! The amazing James family. These three enjoyed getting a picture on the cannon. Gibson and Elise didn't like it so much. The whole Thanksgiving crew. We missed James and his family. Most recent family picture. It's hard to get one of those with a husband and daughter who don't like getting their picture taken! Post Thanksgiving meal hike. A kiss for making it to the top. Dad was our hiking guide. We had a legitimate Christmas tree this year!

Journey of Judak | Pedal Harder and Turn the Page.

CHAPTER 1: THE HANDS. CHAPTER 2: THE PLACEMENTS. The Road to Publication. July 3, 2014. We Have Finished Our Journey. It’s hard to believe. Over 2000 miles. 3 countries. 32 nights in sleeping bags. Early June we were boarding a ferry to cross over to Canada. Since then we have crossed bridges, traversed mountains, and seen some of the most beautiful scenery our country has to offer. You never know what’s going to happen on a trip like this. And that is the best part. And we had ourselves an adventure.
