http://journeyofthekunkelfamily.blogspot.com/p/sponsorship-ministry.html
La Escuela de Arte. La Escuela de Cocina. La Escuela de Carpenteria. Love Guatemala Ministeries now has 3 "trade" schools up and running. The primary way we receive funding for these schools is through our sponsorship program. Here is how it works:. We select kids for the schools. They receive a sponsor (you). They are able to attend one of the schools (art, cooking, carpentry). They receive valuable training in a trade. They receive spiritual training, love and support from us and others on the team.

The Rices in Guatemala. Stepping out on the water. Saturday, July 5, 2014. One Amazing Group Leaves While Another Arrives. Thank you for introducing us to M's family. I think that was the coolest part of the trip to me. I'm not sure I've ever felt moments of desolation and consolation paired so vividly than in that moment. WIND had just begun supporting a Christian primary school called HOREB. I taught English for three months at the school and fell in love with the children and people of San Juan Cotzal. I formed relationships during that time that has continued and grown to this day. Be an advocate for the Ixil people. Ensure WIND programs are operating effectively.

Journey of the Lizard King
Journey of the Lizard King. I am the Lizard King. I can do anything. Sunday, June 12, 2011. Michael turned 9 yesterday. My sweet, little baby is morphing into a young man in front of my eyes. My boy is a WWE fanatic, so we planned a birthday sleepover with his best friends, to coincide with Friday Night Smackdown, on the night before his birthday. The stars were aligning perfectly. The weather wasn't too hot. I got the day off. And it was the first day of summer vacation. The next morning, we gave him a ...

Journey of the Magi. Friday, May 06, 2005. All Churches Should Be Multiracial. An excerpt from United by Faith by Curtiss Paul DeYoung, Michael O. Emerson, George Yancey, and Karen Chai Kim. Again, the authors provide a compelling challenge, and intensify their call, which they argue is a biblical one, for more churches to become multiracial. What should congregations look like racially? Given the current and historical racial context of the United States, are certain racial and ethnic communities best s...
