In January 2012, I received permission to record an interview with Michael at Marion Correctional Institution. This was about ten months prior to his next parole hearing. Michael had no idea that he was be granted parole by the full board a little over a year later. He had every reason to believe he would be denied. Click to view: January 2012. Michael was released on parole in April 2013. This video is only a few seconds long, but was taken moments after he stepped outside of the prison building.
