http://frocktasia.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
Wednesday, 26 June 2013. Groove is in the heart. Today my outfit made a dude burst into song :). When we were taking these pics he passed us with his pit bull terrier and started singing the chorus to Deee-lite's Groove is in the Heart. I guess there's a wee nod in the direction of the fabulous Lady Miss Kier. In this get-up ;). On Monday I met up with Jo. The Rotherhithe Picture Research Library. It is open weekdays 10am till 4pm and as an educational charity it offers free access to all this magnificen...

late blooming sparkle: November 2013
http://latebloomingsparkle.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html
If you really want to know. Tuesday, November 26, 2013. Did your mother cut your hair when you were young? Mine did. It usually went like this:. That's a little uneven. I'll just straighten that up a little. I'd better even that side up now. Thank goodness hair grows out or I'd still look like this! Circa 1963, ready for the Scandinavian Festival. Things haven't changed much, except now it's me with the scissors. It usually goes like this:. I'll straighten it up a little. Now I have to even that side up!

Thursday, 26 February 2015. Indian Colour In The Black Country. You wouldn't have spotted this chiffon and l amé number peeping out of my improved wardrobe as it's been on the mending pile for the past 12 months. The last time I wore it I heard a sickening rip and, on further inspection, realised I'd badly torn the sleeve. I blame my bulging biceps I've developed from my thirty minute a day workout on the Wii Fit. The dress might turn heads in the Black Country* but in India I'd fit in a treat. I say stu...

HanktheDog Blog: Doggedly in Love
http://hankthedog.blogspot.com/2006/03/doggedly-in-love.html
A dog's-eye view of the human-run world. March 04, 2006. Do humans really love? It's one of those philosophical and scientific questions that the more dogged among us sometimes ask ourselves. In this instance, the question is spurred by an entry. A series of entries, actually) in a blog that I read called Dogma. Written by Gina Spadafori. (Mike has her. Book, a fact that's likely made him a bit easier for me to train.). Here's a bit of irony for the dogs-can't-love group: one of the ways in which humans ...

Tea Diary: Altering that Vintage Dress
http://tea-diary.blogspot.com/2012/11/altering-that-vintage-dress.html
Tuesday, November 13, 2012. Altering that Vintage Dress. This is my first time trying the sewing machine on clothes, it looks easy when i read or watch the tutorial online but it's not coz i'm still learning how to sew and i'm too lazy to hand sew it. I got rid off the pads on the shoulders, shortened the length of the skirt.though i was having trouble trying to iron it flat as the skirt is pleated and sew it straight is tough, the needle kept on going sideways! I like the result! What do you think?

late blooming sparkle: Dance This Mess Around
http://latebloomingsparkle.blogspot.com/2013/01/dance-this-mess-around.html
If you really want to know. Saturday, January 5, 2013. Dance This Mess Around. When I was trying to come up with a name for this blog, I thought about using a song title or lyrics. Completely original, huh? Circa 1983, pretty much same haircut as today. So why am I telling you all this? The top is actually a loose wrap/shrug from JCP (see it open here. I decided to pin it up asymmetrically and wear it with my new thrifted silver belt (mentioned here. And black midi skirt (Walmart). Let the Good Times Roll.

FROCKTASIA: July 2013
http://frocktasia.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html
Thursday, 25 July 2013. In 1986 my mum took me to Mallorca on holiday, Magaluf to be exact. Needless to say my mum didn't stay cross with me for very long and she even let me buy a fiesta frock before we went home. I actually wanted a scarlet lace one but mum thought it was far too sexy for a twelve year old so I was only allowed to get the much more virginal white cotton and crochet trimmed version. Sadly the white frock no longer dwells in my vintage wonderland. Tuesday, 23 July 2013. Last night the sk...
