I am forever trying to find ways to make the stuff in life that we need and be far less dependent on the stores or outside sources. My motto is, "if I can make it I can't buy it" (at least not unless I want to support a small farmer or hand crafter that I really admire! What you will need:. An apple corer (I used my peeler and it worked out nicely). The steps are easy as pie (actually easier)! 1 Preheat the oven to 250 degrees.

Monday, April 30, 2012. Fun with Chalk Board Paint! My friend and roommate Natalie, whom I've already mentioned several times in this blog, decided to paint her entire fire place with chalk board paint. It was a brilliant concept (she's brilliant! And we have been having a blast writing stuff on the fireplace. Monday, December 26, 2011. Christmas cheer and things I made! I know I have not been updating this blog nearly enough, but after Thanksgiving all my energy went to preparing for the holidays. Thursday, June 14, 2012. I was trying to come up with a somewhat healthy but fun breakfast item to send off with my friends who are going camping this week. I was fully planning on going with them but decided at the last minute that I simply couldn't add one more commitment to my over flowing agenda. I certainly hope that I will be able to participate in another bout of camping once I am not on a deadline for an art show, but for now a tiny bit of baking to send off to the woods was all I could manage.
