Lollygagging: Human Training
http://delmenhorst.blogspot.com/2012/10/human-training.html
Light-hearted reflections on living retired! Friday, October 12, 2012. Zoe and I attended are first Manners class yesterday. We both enjoyed the experience but I am afraid I may not be coordinated enough to train my dog! This particular training method uses a clicker and treats. That is one 65 pound dog on a leash, one clicker and one bag of treats. The problem is I only have two hands and a really friendly dog and I kept dropping the clicker, the leash and the treats. Who knew I was so much fun. That's ...

Light-hearted reflections on living retired! Saturday, February 23, 2013. I wonder what Cam will do today? I like to dance! Arms, I've got arms! I love my Cam. I get it now, Touchdown! Silly girls. Can I play? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). While playing basketball with two senior citizens and Gma Debbie - "Come on Cookie" to Papa Fred, her team member. While I was lecturing about the importance of not pointing guns (toy or otherwise) at people - "Shoot her, she's not an American, she's a Texan".

We are starting the sixth week of Brother in a cast.it ends on Friday! The first day of vacation at the beach, Brother falls off the top bunk of bunk beds and breaks his right arm. It will be a vacation we will never forget! He handled everything like a champ. He slept the first night in a splint, got a big cast the next day and never complained since! They had to manipulate the bone back into place which was so sad. Here he is getting the first cast on. Poor guy! SLOW DOWN this Christmas season.

Childhood Insight: November 2010
http://matthews8.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
November 17, 2010. 7 lbs 11 oz. 20 1/4 inches long. Well, she's due in five days! Hope she comes a little sooner, my ribs would appreciate the relief. Brother and Sister are ready to see her and Granddad comes on Tuesday. Brother is continuously frustrated with being four. He's too small for things like "helping Daddy get the sick people well," stirring things on the stove, having the patience for a little sister (soon to be two little sisters), swinging by himself, and reading. She started in reverse, but is willing to push forward for high tech toys like Mommy's camera, the remote and a cell phone! I tried to get her to crawl towards her tower of nesting cups and she wouldn't. Tank, our dog, got so impatient he got up from his nap and came over to knock it down! SLOW DOWN this Christmas season. Childhood Insight: Hurricane Irene
http://matthews8.blogspot.com/2011/08/hurricane-irene.html
It was a hurricane alright. A category 1, but enough wind and rain to keep me up all night, or was that the tornado warnings? Woke up at six this morning with our flashlights, all huddled on the bed with flashlights watching Jenna clap for the first time. What a great end to the storm. An hour later we had our power back and saw the storm moving away on the radar. Praise God the storm is past and breaking apart! SLOW DOWN this Christmas season. Il gatto di combattere.

Childhood Insight: T-ball
http://matthews8.blogspot.com/2012/05/t-ball.html
It's his first season, or maybe our first season, seeing as how each game is a full on family affair. Brother loves t-ball. Here are some shots of his first few practices and game. Opening day was held at the Minor League stadium here, they got to sit in the dugout and run around in the outfield. It was cold, but fun! The first thing Brother did in the dugout was to put his glove in one of the cubby holes.forever a rule follower. Daddy explaining the play by play. SLOW DOWN this Christmas season.

Not the baby yet! Sister is collecting baby doll toys that will mimic Mommy and Baby when she comes. So far she has a baby doll pac 'n' play, stroller, high chair, bottles, diapers, cradle, potty seat, diaper bag and wearable carrier. Her newest addition came from a yard sale today:. She likes her some baby dolls! Brother found us seats in the middle of the hay, which we sat in, not on, and that was an itchy experience. Afterwards they sucked down apple cider like nothing, but poo-pooed the idea of s'mor...
