Crazy travels of an OT. I talk about my life as an Occupational Therapist, a wife and a friend. Tuesday, November 19, 2013. Frugal living: Planting my own veggie patch. For years I have wanted my very own veggie patch. Somewhere I can go to when life gets rough and I just want some peace and quiet. Somewhere I can go to to harvest my own food. Well, I FINALLY have started with my little, tiny veggie patch. The tomato and green pepper seedlings and parsley on the far right. Eggplant / brinjal on the far l...

Crazy travels of an OT. I talk about my life as an Occupational Therapist, a wife and a friend. Tuesday, May 12, 2015. Day 1 of the 5th Annual Flats and Handwashing Challenge - Why am I doing this? The first time I ever folded a flat was at the young age of 10 years. I had become an aunt, and a very willing one at that, who would do anything for my dearest nephew! Maybe I already realised at that tender age that folding a flat perfectly can be very therapeutic, who knows? 2 Sorting out contact dermatitis.

Crazy travels of an OT: August 2013

Crazy travels of an OT. I talk about my life as an Occupational Therapist, a wife and a friend. Friday, August 16, 2013. The truth about being a Stay-At-Home-Mom. When Linmari was only 3 weeks old, I decided that I want to be a stay-at-home-mom (SAHM). It's a heart desire which did not disappear as time went by. It actually grew stronger and stronger, to the point that my husband wrote my resignation letter and told me I had better go and resign. I love my child, I do. It just seems that she chose th...

The secret diary of koos. Just another WordPress.com weblog. What’s with Namibia? Plastic Man is Dead… →. It’s a mind set. June 10, 2009. I am deeply concerned about the possible new health care legislation proposed by the ANC. State hospitals are falling apart while private hospitals are still functioning. Now the state, in effect, wants to “take over” private hospitals – in the name of the collective. I suspect this clumsy piece of legislation is just one more proof that the ANC is still hampered by ol...

The secret diary of koos. Just another WordPress.com weblog. They Say There’s a Recession…. It’s a mind set →. What’s with Namibia? June 5, 2009. What the hell is wrong with Namibia? Namibia is my favourite African country. Often, during the disastrous reign of Thabo Mbeki, have I toyed with the idea of emigrating there. My in-laws all come from Namibia and I have numerous friends there. But why, if the other countries in the region are looking up, must Namibia begin to slide towards anarchy? Maybe so...

One can practically hear their saliva-glands working overtime, and one can hear them shouting: “We knew it all along! We told you so! Crazy travels of an OT: December 2012
http://crazy-ot.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Crazy travels of an OT. I talk about my life as an Occupational Therapist, a wife and a friend. Wednesday, December 19, 2012. Back to work.back to a nasty reality. My cousin once said to me that she decided to become a full-time mom after she realised that she couldn't be 100% engineer and 100% mom. I now understand what she meant. It broke my heart that she and I could not lie in bed all day, with her simply feeding and sleeping the miserable feeling away. Being a stay-at-home Mom is a FULL TIME JOB!
