Workshop Testimonials | Julia Sutton
https://juliasutton.wordpress.com/workshop-testimonials
Before my observation of Julia’s workshop, I felt sure Julia would do an amazing job inspiring the participants to learn the techniques yet I was unsure of how her delivery and presentation would go as Julia is quiet and reserved. Julia’s delivery of the presentation was inspiring; I felt her zeal and could envision the description she was laying out in a way that gave me goose bumps. http://encaustic-m.blogspot.com/2014/04/new-tack-in-encaustic-see-where-it.html
Monday, 28 April 2014. New tack in Encaustic, see where it takes me. I needed to find myself a subject to satisfy in this here Encaustic Adventure . Maybe this is it:. And my first try, simply named: First Chair. Sketched, drawn and encaustic'd chair. Your basic all use wooden chair. PS: colours look much better in real light, I have trouble making photos of the Encaustic works (with an Olympus OM-D), they do not transfer the blue colours as they are, maybe the wax layers change it? Fibra Artysta - Mixed Media Fiber Art: where i stand sunday
http://fibraartysta.blogspot.com/2013/07/where-i-stand-sunday.html
Where i stand sunday. The art fair swirls around me in a blur of sound and movement and summer heat bouncing off the concrete. My eye locks on the cluster of chalk drawings of classic movie posters. As I step to the edge and look down at the shark, one sentence bounces through my mind:. We're gonna need a bigger boat.". Full view of the chalk drawing, it really was quite good. :). I love chalk art! We have a chalk art festival here in town every year and it is just amazing what people draw! Cart Before T...
Fibra Artysta - Mixed Media Fiber Art: collaboration with Lisa Call
http://fibraartysta.blogspot.com/2013/06/collaboration-with-lisa-call.html
Collaboration with Lisa Call. There's only one thing I like more then printing fabric (and you all know how much I love flinging paint) and that's sending it off to other artists for them to use in new ways that I wouldn't ordinarily think of. Last summer I talked with Lisa Call. About doing just that and was thrilled when she agreed to collaborate! As is her habit, she took the fabric and worked magic on it. I printed a red piece of fabric with blue Thermofax Screen Printed. 169;2013 Lisa Call. For seve...

http://encaustic-m.blogspot.com/2014_05_01_archive.html
Monday, 5 May 2014. Encaustic background, well it's not pretty. Been working on my second chair, needed to add a table, didn' t I. But the background is causing me greave . I am not sure its possible the way I am trying, might have to look for another option. I see now why so many artist work with a white or other plain colour background. Anyway, here is. 2 Chair and Table. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). For all my Textile work, please check out this:. Http:/ madim.blogspot.com/. Joanne Mattera Art Blog.

encaustic: Still working Encaustic out #3 & #4
http://encaustic-m.blogspot.com/2014/06/still-working-encaustic-out-3-4.html
Monday, 2 June 2014. Still working Encaustic out #3 and #4. 4 a Victorian Frame. Not a lot of added paint, the chair itself is very thin layers of oil pastels, the background has been finished with oil paint rubbed back. I think I am improving slightly, but can tell you, fusing is explosive, one nano-second too long and puff, you are in trouble and a lot of work ahead to restore. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). A szalonc...

November 2013 I attended a fantastic advanced encaustic workshop tutored by Shawna Moore, Shawna is from Whitefish, Montana, see her website, she has some great video’s to watch on youtube, http:/ shawnamoore.com/about/. I thought it would be an interesting addition to my practice to see the diversivication of another well established encaustic artist from the states. Most australian encaustic artist’s are new to the medium over the last 10 years. R and F Encaustic Paints. Is now ...

Saturday, June 11, 2011. I'm sitting in a trap. That trap can also be referred to as Melanie's shelf. Yup, basically all I have been doing for the past couple of months is sit on the shelf, and collect dust. Life's been a mess. Monday, April 11, 2011. My world is over. Sure, I have George, and my sisters, but I don't have my best friend, my sister, my twin, my sanity. I don't have my Julie. Wednesday, March 23, 2011. I breathed in the air and sighed. 8221; George ran up behind me and hugged me. 8221; I c...
