Welcome to my blog on Malaysian kuih and food! Tuesday, March 1, 2011. It's the first day of Autumn today. Hopefully, it will mean cooler temperatures. The past month has been very hot and humid in Sydney, just like dear old KL. Here is my orange chiffon cake. Doesn't look too orange, does it? 3 ½ oz sugar. 2 oz cooking oil. 1 ½ tsp baking powder. 3 oz orange juice. 1 ½ tsp grated orange rind. 188; tsp salt. 188; tsp cream of tartar. Mix egg yolks with flour, baking powder, oil, orange juice, grated.

It has been eaten and carefully weighed and reviewed by my sons and is definitely two thumbs up. This recipe makes about 16 cupcakes, which in my house, will be finished in 2 days. And as usual, my cupcakes are without icing. Too sinful as it is. 2 cups self raising flour. 1/2 cup cocoa, sifted. 125g melted and cooled butter.
