Ts & Cs. No, there’s plenty to see here. April 16th, 2010 in Flying by Sarah Lee. The Icelandic volcanic ash cloud and subsequent travel chaos has taught those of us in the UK one thing – we are indeed living on an island and if we want out our options are limited, especially when planes are grounded and our airspace closed. Thankfully this is rare else I fear we’d all go mad. Pretty in pink: The Langham’s new look. April 15th, 2010 in Hotels by Sarah Lee. Nice hotel, no cigar. According to the managing ...

Ts & Cs. Just how useful are travel reviews? July 6th, 2010 in Cruising by Sarah Lee. I recently had the chance to sample Norwegian Cruise Lines’ latest ship Epic. I’ve just been reading through a fairly mixed bag of reviews of the ship – some saying it couldn’t be better, others quoting specific bad experiences and personal niggles. It’s made me wonder: how useful are travel reviews and do they say more about us than the hotel/ship/airline we’ve reviewed? Can a wellness clinic make me a new man? I recen...

Ts & Cs. We’ve a World Cup winner! July 24th, 2010 in African travel by Sarah Lee. We’ve been pretty remiss and can only apologise for not announcing this before but as you know we’ve recently been swept away on a tide of music at the Benicassim Music Festival. And with approximately a week spent in sunny Spain (where wifi was free but dismally slow at our hotel) we weren’t able to post about the winner of our World Cup score predictions competition. So here goes…. Hit the road for a Cape adventure.

Benicassim – hot days, sizzling nights. July 24th, 2010 in European travel by Sarah Lee. It’s festival season across Europe so time to don wellies and prepare yourself for an avalanche of rain and mud. Or maybe not. Ok so this year Glastonbury-goers experienced better weather than they’ve witnessed in years. If you had you’...

Ts & Cs. Tasty Tenerife – a new foodie heaven? February 10th, 2010 in European travel by Sarah Lee. A few years ago I went to Los Gigantes in Tenerife and if I’m honest I wasn’t that enamoured with it. It lacked a certain “Canarianess”.
