March 25, 2012. A Boy Scout Always Comes Prepared. Here's a quick shot I snapped while on the trail. Formerly a rail bed. The scenery is pretty sweet along the trail. The el-cheapo SS road bike doesn't have quick release hubs and I didn't bring a wrench. After and abundant amount of cursing, a call for help and a 3mile jog in mtb shoes blistering my feet, my wife saved the day and picked me up. 30 miles from my house. Thanks Babe. April 29, 2011. April Showers Bring Big Giant Dandelions. Things have been very busy since the arrival of our newest. Especially, given he's been pretty fussy. As always, my wife has been amazing with him. I do what I can but, certainly don't have the stamina or maternal instinct to make me Super Dad. Certainly an area I need to improve in. March 25, 2012. Geez I wrote the below on my android this morning. It took me about 30min. Clearly, I've mastered typing on the device. Now if the d*mn thing would keep my email in sync. Friday, March 20, 2009. I am on the hunt for a couple of vintage schwinns to convert to fixies and serve as the first generation of roller racing bicycles. With the weather improving, these nearly all steel gems are popping up here and there on craigslist. Some for reasonable prices. Conversion should be easy enough. Given they will come apart. Pedal adapters to accept 9/16 pedals. Ditch the freewheel for a track hub. Toss all other non essential parts. Shifters, derailleurs, brakes, reflectors, etc.

Friday, April 10, 2009. Parts are in. Bikes will hopefully be together by Saturday afternoon. I put the bottom bracket and fork back on the white bike last weekend. It turned out pretty sweet. The chrome forks look good. The rear wheel will need to be trued. It's a wobbler. Jim, if you are reading this, time to build a forkstand. :).
