Narrowboat Briar Rose: A-Wey for a barbecue
http://nbbriarrose.blogspot.com/2015/08/a-wey-for-barbecue.html
Saturday, 8 August 2015. A-Wey for a barbecue. We knew Carol and George from. Were on the River Wey, the closest connected waterway to home, so we got in touch and arranged a visit for the afternoon. The result was a big boater's barbecue, because Sue and Vic of. Were also moored at Send, with family visitors. The smallest of the assembled dogs, Molly from Still Rockin' also looked the most relaxed. It was a great evening, with good company, and an excellent barbecue by George. 8 August 2015 at 22:20.

Friday, 20 May 2011. We're delighted, and a little sad, to say that our Debdale share has been sold. What's more, it was thanks to this blog! We wish the new owners many happy years of cruising on Debdale, and we'll look out for her on the cut. Its such a relief when the shares are sold. Sue, nb Indigo Dream. 20 May 2011 at 09:02. Narrowboat Briar Rose: Pre Crick: Day 2
http://nbbriarrose.blogspot.com/2015/05/pre-crick-day-2.html
Thursday, 21 May 2015. Pre Crick: Day 2. Our locking partners were an experienced boat share couple out of Gayton, and with boats heading down the locks, we made decent progress. Some of the pounds look rather full when there are two uphill and two downhill boats swapping locks. At the penultimate lock, our lock companions were joined by their daughter and three year old grandson. He's got three years experience of boating, and like pushing lock gates! 20 miles, 7 locks. Labels: Buckby Bottom Lock. Glad ...

Narrowboat Briar Rose: October 2014
http://nbbriarrose.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Friday, 31 October 2014. An early drive up the M1 and across the Peak District to eastern Cheshire this morning, to the Victoria Pit moorings at Higher Poynton for a boat test. We did the running shots first as it was sunnier than we'd dared hope. When we were all done, we popped into Braidbar to see Susan and Peter, and then had a Bakewell tart at the Trading Post. Thursday, 30 October 2014. As usual, everything was fine. Friday, 3 October 2014. The November issue of Canal Boat. This blog contains detai...

The Journey Home and Two Boats Later : The Answer is Blowin in the Wind
http://jemmathedog.blogspot.com/2015/07/the-answer-is-blowin-in-wind.html
The Journey Home and Two Boats Later. Friday, 31 July 2015. The Answer is Blowin in the Wind. This is the first time we have attempted to go away for longer than two weeks. Our trip should last a month. We are reasonably organised and self sufficient but must face the problem of what to do about laundry. As a liveaboard confirmed, the issue isn't the washing, it's the drying. As the sun sets over the canalside reed beds and the moorhens cease their headstands, it seems wrong. Something else that is wrong...

Narrowboat Briar Rose: November 2014
http://nbbriarrose.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Saturday, 22 November 2014. Paddingtons at Paddington Basin. I had a decent length break at work today - so went up to Paddington Basin to visit Carol and George on Still Rockin'. It was good to catch up for an hour over a cup of tea. A number of the 50 statues in the Paddington Trail. Are, perhaps not surprisingly, near the basin. The same basic model has been decorated by different people, in different ways. Here are Brick Bear and Futuristic Robot Bear. Friday, 7 November 2014. Celtic Pride on test.

http://pickles-no2.blogspot.com/2013/05/bizarre-behaviour.html
Nb Pickles no.2. We live on a 70' narrowboat and slowly cruise the English canal system but it still isn't completely fitted out. It isn't even fitted out to any kind of reasonable standard. But it will be. Some day. Friday, 3 May 2013. One of the elderly people passed the boat with a blue dog poo bag peeping out of his pocket walking two small dogs. Oh dear. I never see blue poo bags. If it wasn't them.ahh well lets not go there. 6 days x 24 hours, seems to add up to more than 48, infact 3 times as much...
