Wednesday, September 30, 2009. Well, Paula Deen of course! I have several of her cookbooks, and I knew that at least one of them would have an apple pie recipe. I found the recipe and made the best apple pie that I have ever eaten. I will admit, though, I didn't make the crust. The dough boy helped me out on that one. The kids also had fun playing with the pumpkins. Kirk managed to swipe an apple when I wasn't looking. Thankfully, they said he could have it! Aubrie had fun looking at the big pumpkins.

The weather the beautiful and we had so much fun. Aubrie rode all of her favorite rides, and Kirk rode his very first ride ever! Aubrie with Kirk on his first ride ever! The kids with mommy. I recently updated our laundry room with some much needed fresh paint to cover some 70's wood paneling! We are still renting as we look for our first home and our awesome landlord said she'd pay for the paint if I wanted to do anything to the house! And our laundry room was first on the list! Sunday, April 28, 2013. Our Journey to Ethiopia. Words can't express the emotions that we were going through leaving home on Thursday! The hardest thing I have ever had to do was leave Eli at home but also we were so excited and ready to meet Jeremiah for the first time. Through prayers from family and friends and clinging to some of my favorite verses, God was my rock and I handled leaving a lot better than I thought I would. God continues to teach me that he is in control and works out every detail!
