Only pure fun matters! Sailing back to Lisbon, returning from Azores Islands, on a Dufour 385. A storm forced us to return to São Miguel in search for safe harbour. That meant 100 nautical miles back, after four dificult days strugling to sail upwind in an average 35 knots and 5 metre waves. Gusts sometimes reaching 45 knots. Waves getting bigger and bigger. Only pure fun matters! Good sailing weather, all the time. Portugal is lucky to occupy a southern position in Europe's mainland map. In consequence, enjoys a fair sunny weather all year round. On this December Sunday morning, despite a not so friendly ten degrees Celsius, the sailing was great. Plenty of wind, as usual in the winter, for everyone's fun and adrenaline. Nothing better than the sailing boat's perspective to really enjoy Lisboa's skyline, hills, landscape and historical buildings.

TEMÜJIN Veleiro Dufour 405 GL. Logbook do Veleiro TEMÜJIN um Dufour 405 GL. Quarta-feira, 15 de junho de 2011. O Temujin está a 150 milhas nauticas (277 km) do seu próximo destino. O vento caiu, para menos de 10 nós (como previsto). O mar acalmou. Com o vento a essa velocidade (fraco) e vindo de popa, dificilmente se navega a mais de 4 nós, mesmo em mar calmo. Assim, na ansia de ver e pisar terra, o capitão decidiu ligar o motor, aumentando a velocidade para 6,5 nós. Postado por Pedro Mengas.
