Friday, February 27, 2015. Playing With New Toys - Sculpey Clay. I am sure my few faithful followers are wondering where I have been. Well, I have been away at a work related conference and I have been playing with new toys. I love how Pinterest shows you things they think you would like to see. Well we all know that can lead to trouble. I was drawn in by journal covers made with polimer clay. Naturally, I had to try it for myself. Here is my first attempt. My second attempt was a sea plate. This one has...

She is such a great designer and keeps innovating new methods of construction. As I make projects from her tutorials I like to put my own little spin on them which makes them uniquely my creation. This Foto Folio is a combination of Folio tutorial #1 and #6. Open the left side of the folio. Open the right side of the folio. Everywhere you look in this folio there a...

Crafting Passions: Mixed Media Foray
http://craftingpassions.blogspot.com/2015/07/mixed-media-foray.html
Monday, July 27, 2015. Today I would like to share my first every foray into mixed media. A friend of mine (Linda) was over and she showed me a few ideas on how to get started. It was loads of fun and very easy to do. When we are finished we will coat everything with Mod Podge (I haven't done that part yet). In the end, I kinda think my piece tells a story. It's a little corny, but here goes. We are all like a little fish who is on a life journey. Sometimes she will face obstacles,. If she perseveres she...

Sunday, November 24, 2013. This week I am the Monday Hostess over at Digital Delights. For my project this week I made this cute little box that I found here. I made a few adjustments to make it work for inches and added my Christmas Digital Delights. Images to finish it off. Believe it or not, this box lays flat and fits into a regular size envelope. I used Snowball Andie and the House from the Snowball Sarah and Andie set. As well as Snowie Lola. And Winder Fun Sentiments. Start by making the box:.

Crafting Passions: June 2015
http://craftingpassions.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Thursday, June 25, 2015. I have been holding off showing this mini album because I wanted to put some of my family camping pictures in it first. But alas, time flies by and it has been a few weeks since I last posted a project. This mini is from Kathy Orta's new Minutes to Memories tutorial. It is a very fast project using a sewn in binding and pocket pages combined with large envelopes. I was able to construct the base album in one evening. In Kathy's original tutorial she uses a "signature" binding, ma...

Crafting Passions: Foto Folio Mini #3
http://craftingpassions.blogspot.com/2014/09/foto-folio-mini-3.html
Monday, September 29, 2014. Foto Folio Mini #3. Many of us in the Paper Phenomenon world have been frantically working through the 6 new Mini Foto Folios. I say frantically because we all love them and want to make them all. I posted my first one last week here. I have constructed #2 but have not yet finished matting all the pages. However, I have to say that I am in love with the side closure of #3. I used the My Minds Eye Collectible collection of papers and stickers. The closure is from Tim Holtz.

Crafting Passions: What is Zentangle
http://craftingpassions.blogspot.com/p/what-is-zentangle.html
8220;The Zentangle Method is an easy to learn, fun and relaxing way to create beautiful images by drawing structured patterns”, according to the creators of Zentangle.com. Rick Roberts and Maria Thomas. Zentangle is a registered trademark. I love Zentangle as an art form. I have always wanted to learn to draw. As an avid crafter and card maker I thought, "if I only knew how to draw", I could create my own suite of characters to sell online or make into rubber stamps. I love Zentangle as a meditation tool.

Crafting Passions: May 2015
http://craftingpassions.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
Thursday, May 28, 2015. Gate Fold BoBunny Mini Album. My mini album today features a BoBunny collection and a wonderful kit and tutorial Kathy Orta called Life in Retrospect. The color combination is fun and youthful making this an album that could be used for almost any age or occasion. The frame on the cover is made so that you can easily slip a 3x5 picture in and even switch it out occasionally. This is a gate fold style that comes together in the center, secured with magnets. I love this design!
