Saturday, March 19, 2011. Spring break this year started with a bang- the bang of my head into concrete while I attempted (for the first time) to roller blade on a half pipe. He didn't cry, and held stiller than I've ever seen the boy hold as the doctor numbed him and stitched his head back together. We have lights strung along our roof line (thanks to Noah, who is awesome) and our front porch looks amazing, especially at night. Yes, that is a Halloween door mat. In fact, I set out to discover some of them this week when we had a very brief amount of down time. As has already been mentioned, Shamrock, TX is located on the famous Route 66. Seriously.where is he? Sunday, May 29, 2011. Several months ago, I was up in Spokane visiting my sister and her family. About this same time, they were getting their house ready to put on the market and sell. While I was up there, they found out that they were going to have to replace the roof in order to meet all the requirements for selling their home. That’s not how it panned out…at all. Tuesday, June 16, 2009. I love this pie. The recipe is from my sister-in-law Emily. 1 unbaked pie shell. 2 C fresh strawberries, chopped. 2 C rhubarb, chopped. 1 1/3 C sugar. 1/3 C flour (add 2 T more if using frozen strawberries). 1/2 C brown sugar. 1/2 C quick oats. 4 T butter, softened. Sift sugar, flour and salt together. Stir with strawberries and rhubarb until well combined. Let sit for 15-30 minutes to allow juices to form. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
