2015 Hawaii Day 5. 5日目は早起きして、良さげな店がたくさんあるモンサラット通りまで出かけ、 Bogart's Cafe. で「世界一のアサイボウル」を朝食にいただきました。狭い店内は、朝早くから地元の人や日本人観光客で大賑わい。 アサイボウルもボリューミーなので、2人で1つをオーダーしました。新鮮なフルーツはもちろん、その下の冷えたアサイのスムージーが爽やかで美味かったです。 それから海と山のダイナミックな景色が広がる道を軽快にドライブ。ここは、日本よりアメリカでの方が運転経験が多いポリー・ママに運転してもらいました。運転中、ヒャッホーイって言ってましたよ。 最初に到着したのは、ガイドブックで「プロが選ぶフォトジェニックビーチベスト5」で1位として紹介されていた Waimanalo Bay Beach 。ほとんど同じ構図で写真を撮ってみたのだけど、でもガイドブックに載っているようにはいかないなー。 でも少し裏通りに入れば閑散とした、当時と変わらない雰囲気がありました。そこで見つけたペット用品屋に入ってみると、とても優しそうなオバチャンが店番を...を覗いてみました。店に...

2015 Hawaii Day 8. 8日目、ハワイ最後の朝は Halekulani のルームサービスにしました。ラナイで海とプールを見ながら、マカデミアナッツが練り込まれた焼き立てパンケーキを、オーガニックハニーを付けていただきましたが、これが超絶品。忘れられない味です。 それからチェックアウトまで、コーヒーを飲みながら Halekulani の中を散策しました。10年前、Central Union Church に出かける前に、ウエディングドレスとタキシードの姿でこの階段の前や中庭などで写真を撮ってもらいました。この日も、何組かの結婚式を挙げる日本人カップルを見かけました。彼らも10年後とかに、きっとここに戻って来るんじゃないかな。 あっという間にチェックアウト時間になり、名残惜しく Halekulani を後にしました。10年前は数日滞在しても実はそれほど堪能できませんでしたが、今回はたった1日だったけど、十分に満喫できて本当に幸せでした。また来れるといいな。 2015 Hawaii Day 7.
