March 9, 2009. Have you ever had one of those days that seemed to last forever? The ones that seem jam packed full of activities and has you driving everywhere under the sun? July 17, 2007. In the Good Old Summertime. It occurred to me today that we're halfway through July. Where has this summ. It seems to be zooming by in a flurry of activity! September 30, 2007. So it's been about a week since I got back from NY, but here I am packing again. Tomorrow I'm off toward the Kitsap peninsula to the little town of Seabeck to attend a new student retreat for students in my program. I don't know all that much about Seabeck other than the fact that my brother's ex-girlfriend was from there. The retreat is 3 days long and we will be staying at the Seabeck Christian Conference Center. September 26, 2007. Fondu is so yummy! I love myself some cheese!

February 12, 2009. One day at a time. Well it's been about a month since I left my job and yet it seems like it's been much longer. This month has just flown by and things are still pretty busy around here. I really thought after quitting my job that I would have all this free time. That totally has not been the case! I guess school, my change project, and volunteering keep me a lot busier than I thought it would. I honestly don't know how I used to keep up with everything with a full-time job!

Thursday, January 01, 2009. These Boots Are Made For Walking (Nancy Sinatra). After our (not so) wonderful cold and snowy weather the past couple weeks, my co-worker decided (& I agreed! That it was time I picked up some winter-y boots. This is what I got. Sorta. Mine are black/stone color. It's a Sorel Carabou. Boot, rated to -40°. My friend says this is what they wear in AK. They oughta keep my piggies nice and toasty (& dry! Next time there's any snowfall in these parts. It snowed last night!

For my change project, I'm working with a group of professionals in the OD field and Training and Design field on a project we're tentatively calling Conversations for Social Action or CSA. Tuesday, January 27, 2009. A Change Will Do You Good (Cheryl Crow). Can I just say WAHOO? I am SO incredibly super excited to have a new president. Living in the White House. I'm not much into politics, but I think this election had me paying more attention than I ever have in the past. I just hope that Obama can fulfill his many hopes and goals he campaigned about. Last Monday, Martin Luther King Jr holiday, I spent the day with Kat. What better way to spend a cold afternoon than enjoying some ice cream.

Sunday, October 26, 2008. Yesterday, I was up in the Northend and, on my way home, thought I'd stop at the hospital to see how my dad was doing. He was to have been discharged from the hospital today. As I walked up to his room, that wasn't my dad in the bed.
