Modelling the far South Coast of New South Wales. Tuesday, May 19, 2015. I can't believe my last blog was in March and that was only to let it be known that I had received my 46 class locomotives. And when you look at the three blogs previous to those they were only to announce that I had received the 48's, a 45 class and a Victorian L class. So whats been happening on the layout? To try and rekindle some interest in the hobby, I attended the Modelling the Railways of NSW convention last Saturday. On...

Modelling the far South Coast of New South Wales. Friday, November 14, 2014. Finally it has happened, the outside of the shed has received a coat of paint. It has taken a few weeks on and off to get it done and now looks good. All the eaves have been boxed in so unless I accidently leave the door open one night, that should be the last you will hear of possum problems. I just remembered that I opened a Flickr account some time ago to put "overflow" photos of the layout onto. Rather than troll through...

SCR: A New Year
http://southcoastrail.blogspot.com/2015/01/a-new-year.html
Modelling the far South Coast of New South Wales. Saturday, January 31, 2015. I am sure as you get older the time goes quicker. I can't believe it has been five weeks since the last post. Well it was last year. I haven't done anything worth writing about down the shed at the moment, working instead on another project inside that is absorbing a lot of modelling time. Nearly two thirds the way through so hope to resume residence down the shed soon. Anyhow here are todays photos:. Well I can predict the nex...

http://southcoastrail.blogspot.com/2014/12/48-reasons-to-love-christmas.html
Modelling the far South Coast of New South Wales. Tuesday, December 23, 2014. 48 reasons to love Christmas. Well what will probably be my last post for 2014 ends with some good news finally. I received a phone call late last week stating that my two 48 class had arrived. Not only arrived in Australia but arrived in West Ryde and were ready for pickup. So tonight I managed to get down to the usual hack spot near the gully bridge and was lucky enough to get some shots of the two new 48's on a ballast train...

Modelling the far South Coast of New South Wales. Saturday, June 14, 2014. There was movement at the station. Well the first two photos are self explanatory. The second one shows that I finally succombed to a Trainorama 42 class. After they had all been sold out from the shop, I managed to find one for sale recently so grabbed it for SCR. It is seen here posed beside the VR B class at Candelo. All I am waiting for now is some time to do it all. Sunday, June 8, 2014. What was and what will be. A long shot...

Modelling the far South Coast of New South Wales. Thursday, March 5, 2015. Reach for the Sky. Well they keep coming. This weeks locomotives turned out to be the NSWGR 46 class electrics by Auscision. A long time coming but not as long as my 40 class ordered back in 1929 or something like that it seems. Again another after dinner excursion to the shed and this weeks loco came out of the box easily following the practice I had on the Victorian L class last week. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
