Trail Info for Hikers. Dallas Barnhartvale Nature Park. Lac du Bois Road. Rarr; Lac du Bois. Rarr; Lac du Bois Road. Rarr; Batchelor Hills East. The area east of the Lac du Bois Road is very hilly. The southern end is heavily used by dirtbikes and ATV’s during the dry season. The double tracks and single tracks make good hiking routes in the off-season though. There are also some areas beyond the ATV area that take some effort to get to, but offering challenging and scenic hiking. Trailhead # 2 (ATV area).

The Battle Bluff Trail starts in the Dewdrop Range on the Frederick Road and goes south over a low ridge, then descends to a lower bench. It then veers east to climb Battle Bluff. The end of the trail is the top of the bluff overlooking Kamloops Lake. The trail bears south into a gully. Battle Bluff – N50 43.820 W120 33.956. The out-and-back route is about 5km return.
