Tuesday, April 14, 2009. When praying,a man must wear a songkok,while the ladies wear a scarf(kudang) the idea is to cover their hair so that we don't think of the beauty of the other sex. Also when the Muslims go into the Mosque,the blouse,must cover over the elbows and the dress or skirt must cover the knees. There is also a symbol which was first made in another country which is now widely spread. The star stands for the Lunar calendar and also 5 pillars. They pray to only 1 God, Allah. Nice blog....

The sultan wanted to build a mosque.All the temples were wooden and attap houses, so they passed hats to everyone for money , wich was contributed to the mosque. Kampong Glam still remain strong in SIngapore. It is very well known as the Sultan has told Staford Raffles when Stanford Raffles came to Singapore.1st, he must be given a lot of money, and must he given a big sum of land for him. Thus, the Sultan moved to Kampong Glam. 1Resind sap keeps of termites.
