Yesterday I appointed Mr. Takeaki Matsumoto to succeed to the post of Minister for Foreign Affairs. As the sitting Senior Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mr. Matsumoto was the most qualified to carry on with the existing foreign policy line.
