Web development, here I come! Fixing Sublime Text 2 and GoSublime. I’m still using Sublime Text 2. Because it works well for me. I also use the GoSublime plugin. On every save. This broke when GoSublime updated recently. ETA: As of 2016/05/18 this broke again, still working out why. Step 4: Check out commit. Where XX...

Friday, September 28, 2012. Celebrity Stylelust: Jennifer Lawrence. Jennifer Lawrence captured all of us when she played the role of Katniss Everdeen in 'The Hunger Games'. Ever since then, we've been obsessed! We love how she can be a tomboy one moment and then transform herself for a red carpet and be so gorgeous and effortless. Her newest movie 'House at the End of the Street' was just released last Friday, so we wanted to highlight her for this edition of Celebrity Stylelust! Posted by August Wrinkle.

Web development, here I come! Austin on Rails – July 28, 2015. I’m saving some notes from the second talk of this Austin on Rails meeting. So I don’t lose them somewhere on my phone. Securing Rails for the Enterprise – Marcus J. Carey. Marcus was that rare speaker: very casual, very entertaining, and very informative. Here are some of the tools he mentioned. 8211; A tool to manage your logs. He recommends only logging errors so it’s really obvious when something is happening. 8211; secure authentication!

Web development, here I come! Free private remote git repos. If you want a remote backup of your private git repos, a la Github but free, there are 3 options I know of. Has unlimited free private repos, but sets limits on the number of collaborators. Also lacks issue tracking. Has unlimited free private repos, WITH free issue tracking that is very similar to how Github works. DIY Host it yourself! Except you have to pay for hosting. So there’s that. Cleaning up after Docker. Notes on Go, part 7 of.

Web development, here I come! Saving dotfiles with symlinks on OSX. I’ve always been impressed with folks who have their dotfiles. All backed up to git somewhere, and I’ve finally worked out how to do it myself. The magic answer is symlinks! Git stores information like your username and user email (and much, MUCH more). STEP 2: Collect dotfiles into a Git repo. For best experience, I suspect it should live somewhere under your home directory. I’m currently keeping mine in. 8211; Git config (. The ultimat...
