F A S H I O N M I N U T E: Galerie Noel Guyomarc'h - Unique Jewelry in Montreal
http://fashionminute.blogspot.com/2010/11/galerie-noel-guyomarch-unique-jewelry.html
The Things We Wear and Why, from CBC Radio One Arts cat / writer RAJI SOHAL. Sunday, November 28, 2010. Galerie Noel Guyomarc'h - Unique Jewelry in Montreal. Type 'unique jewelry montreal' into Google search, and I expect to see one of my talented jeweler friends' websites like Harakiri. Already a fave among Montréal ladies with good taste and cash to burn, this shop front gets bypassed very easily I'm afraid, because of its wordy name and its low-key signage on the exterior. Be still my hearty heart!

Tuesday, 27 May 2014. ICONS - jewellery for the famous and infamous, pieces reflecting cultural and design icons. I am currently showing in an ACJ Members' exhibition. A special piece I made for Patti Smith, inspired by her book Woolgathering. The materials I used were: Hand felted surface, Italian silks, silver, gold, English paper pieced patchwork, faceted blood (stones). This is the third annual Members' exhibition, following the 2012 Diamond Jubilee and 2013 STAIN-LESS exhibitions. Links to this post.

The Needle Files: March 2014

Monday, 24 March 2014. Making More: Felt Research. As part of my research on felt brooches, I have been working from some old patterns from a Dryad handbook. It was interesting to see the instructions from many decades ago, with hand drawn patterns. Some of the descriptions are not very politically correct for nowadays. The language used and the changes in society was as interesting as the patterns themselves. Links to this post. Tuesday, 18 March 2014. Making More: Onboard LV21. Links to this post.
