December 03, 2011. The rest of the family was busy getting ready for the wedding that afternoon, so we spent our morning exploring two of the parks that my cousin and his fiancee suggested. We started out at Richmond Beach Saltwater Park. We had the place mostly to ourselves. There were plenty of rocks and driftwood to play with. After that, we drove over to Meadowdale Beach Park for a hike. We saw some really big trees. A mile and a half later, the trail opened out to a beach. We saw another train.

December 29, 2011. On our fourth and final day in Seattle, we continued our extreme vacation in style. My sister was so impressed with our stories of the previous day's hike, she asked us to do it again with her family. We had had so much fun there that we agreed. By the time we reached the clearing before the beach, the kids were marching along. More people on the beach meant more fun. With full bellies, we waddled over to the dock and boarded a harbor tour boat. Posted by Karen 8:28 PM.

April 07, 2012. Although my grandpa died on Veteran's Day, this week was the first time we could schedule his full military honors funeral at Arlington National Cemetery. We started out with a full Mass at the Old Post Chapel. Afterwards, we got in our cars to follow the procession to the grave site. Wednesday, October 29, 2008. This summer I developed a recipe for breakfast that needs a name. 2 eggs, beaten. 1/3 c old-fashioned oats. 1 T ground flax seeds. 2 T wheat bran. 1/16 t baking soda. Bake in a mini loaf pan at 375 F for 30 minutes. Partially consumed breakfast. If you can't tell from the picture, it looks like banana bread. The name should be creative and appetizing.
