The Snow Melt Finally Came. Saturday, April 27, 2013. The Snow Melt Finally Came. We have had an abundance of snow this year as well as snow on the ground for 6 months and 2 weeks. It was a LONG winter to say the least. Just to the north of us on the other side of Saddle Hills, the fields were bare. The first picture is looking to the south of the house. Saturday before Yan left, he had the honors of feeding Lucas solid food for the first time. We chose squash again as we did for Nicholas. Poor Lucas thought it was exciting until he got the food in his mouth- then he didn't know what to think! He is now (3 days later) chowing down on a whole jar of homemade squash baby food per meal!
